On sale from GIMS 2013, the McLaren P1 joined the F1 in the McLaren “Ultimate Series” lineup. A technological marvel, the P1 features a rechargeable hybrid powertrain with an electric motor providing additional power to its twin-turbo V8 ICE engine, enabling electric-only driving for approximately 10 km.
The P1 is built on a carbon monocoque chassis, and access to the cockpit is through dihedral doors. Its highly advanced aerodynamics include a DRS-equipped wing generating up to 600 kg of downforce at 257 km/h.
The exceptionally rare example on display is part of an exclusive series of the P1, limited to just 20 units. In addition to the original painted carbon fibre bodywork, each unit was supplied with certain visible carbon fibre bodyparts.
